I had a pleasant stay with my family, enjoying large portions of delicious food, particularly the Stilton and mushroom burger. The welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness of our room added to the experience. the noise from the pub below was somewhat disruptive at night, and I felt the menu could offer more vegetarian options.

The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the noise from the pub below was quite disruptive during the night, making it challenging to get a restful sleep. I found the breakfast offerings to be inadequate, as there were no fresh fruit options and only instant coffee available. The overall condition of the room was also disappointing. it didn't feel as clean or tidy as I had expected, which affected my overall experience.

The stay was great, especially since it was just a short trip to visit the Yorkshire Air Museum nearby. The room was clean, which made settling in really easy. Plus, I enjoyed the quiz night at the pub. it added a fun touch to the evening. The food was tasty, and I appreciated the effort the owner made to help with our breakfast mix-up, offering us toast and cereal instead.

Noise from the pub below was disruptive! Limited vegetarian menu options could use enhancement.

The spacious room was a perfect retreat after the day's adventures, and I loved that the bar area offered a great variety of drinks.

The room named Buccaneer was spacious and featured comfortable single beds, a pine wardrobe, and a well-stocked tea and coffee setup with Yorkie bars. I appreciated the bedside tables with built-in USB ports and standard plugs, making charging easy without fuss.
Unfortunately, the en-suite shower's temperature control was tricky. I ended up with a blast of cold water at one point when I didn't get the hang of the single knob. the noise from the lively pub below could disrupt sleep at night, especially when the bar was buzzing. Not to mention, the limited vegetarian options on the evening menu could use a bit more variety. Lastly, there were a few steps to navigate around the old building which might not suit everyone.
